I doubt it, uscis used up 60k visas in one month just to make sure we dont get any ead, why in the world after doing all this nonsense would they accept our applications.
My lawyer told me that they are working on something to accept all applications which reached on july ... lets hope he is right.

There is really no need to go into the various minutiae of the legal immigration system. Also, please try not to use form names like I485, or other technical terms like priority date, retrogression etc. It is probably best to use a generic term like 'backlog'. The newspaper editors - and the normal reader - are looking for how the broken system affected you, gentle writer. The very first article in this whole thread was really the best one since it was written from the first person and brought a face, a personality to paper.

Not to put any dampers here, but this is extremely frustrating for the EB3 India folks. I mean how freakin long do WE have to wait before we get our turn!
I agree with eb3_nepa...waiting with EB3 PD March 2002..original labor certification...people who applied after me getting citizenships...it is frustrating.

You are correct, it took around 10 months. From prevailing wage to labor approval. 2 months I mean filing actual labor application to approval.

Me and my wife's 485s had LUDS on 2/18, 2/19 and 2/20. But no status change, and we know for sure we should be getting atleast one RFE. When we applied in July 07 we could not include my Wife's medical/vaccination reports with the application, but no RFE for that yet.
Usually an RFE or FP notice should arrive within 4-8 days after generation. There is no guarantee that the LUD change means anything until you see the notice in your hand.

We have sent letters in the past only to get a standard CANNED answer. It is my opinion that the letters we send do not have any impact, cos as soon as they see "Immigration" as the subject, they (staff) sends the standard letter they have definining the position back.
I do not mean to discourage you, but the need of the hour is to call all the senators. There are 100 of them.
If you were going to do something in addition to the phone calls, Please set up an appointment w/the senator or staff and do a 20 minute Powerpoint presentation. That is more effective.
