Hi,

I just wanted to find out if anybody received email feedback from USCIS once they opened SR with USCIS? Do they even provide any feedback on SR???

I created the SR to check the status of my AP on Jan 8th and have bot heard anything back yet.

I did open SR for my wife's AP a week back. USCIS emailed us asking for us to fax documentation in support for request for expedited processing of AP. We did that. Called up USCIS again on Friday and they said they are still working on (although it seems SRs are to be decided on within 5 days. Thats why customer service folks told us).

Hey guys,

My name is Debasish and I live in Santa Monica near UCLA. I think we all should get together and do something to mobilize our chapter here in So-Cal area. We all know that there are a lot of people who are on H1B and have applied for their GC. But they are waiting....

For myself, I have applied for my GC and still waiting for the I-140. Don't know what they are doing in the TSC???

So the idea should be to get them invloved...Somebody has rightly put it that we do not have a collective voice and that's why we are ignored...

Hope you guys understand...

I think we should start collecting database of people who have applied for their GC and waiting.

If you have any input on this, I will gladly hear it...

I don't know that they charge 400 for password change:mad:, I recently did it and also Customer care never informed me about this charge...

There are plenty of charges and many of us do not realize that they charged. So we think the service is good. But the charges are not known until we look into them very carefully

Hi everybody,

I want to know if somebody knows what is going on with Atlanta perm lab center?I applied in Feb 2007 for perm labor and I checked my staus online almost every day.In jUNE 2007 IT SAID ''CERTIFIED''.My lawyer was waiting for the paper in mail..I checked again the status in July 2007and it said ''In progress''.Can somebody explain for me why is like that? What advice do you give me?

What are the chances for the PD moving to Mid 2007 by end of 2010 ? :(

are you referring to EB2-India? Without any legislative or administrative changes the chances of reaching 2007 next year are pretty much zero IMO.

If I were to play the prediction game, based on the stats that USCIS released and their own statements in this months VB, this is what I would guess [Q1 meaning Jan-Feb-March: calendar quarter, not USCIS quarter which runs from Sept]:

- Q1 2010 : EB2-I reaches Feb and or early March

>> Reasoning: its already at Jan-end and there are tons of cases in March. because PERM was about to start from April 2005, lots and lots of companies pushed and filed for labor in March. So Jan will be crossed and most likely Feb also. But March is a big hump to cross.

- Q2 2010 : EB2-I goes "unavailable". Probably in May, or in June

>> EB2-India should exhaust its annual quota for the quarter well within the cases from Jan/Feb/early-March. So now the VB would go unavailable.

- Q3 2010 : EB2-I goes to April/May/June-2005 in July, then Dec 2005 by Sept VB.

>> the big spillover of visa starts. Note that spillover has not yet happened. THere is speculation at this point, but traditionally whenever there is spillover (look at last 3 years VB) India and China have the same PD because thats how the visas can spill over equally to both of them. The state dept's own prediction is dates will reach December and thats likely. Note that in their prediction (in the VB) dates for India and China are identical as is expected when spillover takes place. This is the time when the big bump of cases at March should get levelled out.

- Q4 2010 : EB2-I goes to Oct 2005

>> 6 months past PERM the number of filings had picked up again, so based on the EB-I pending cases stats come October 2010 the date should roll back to October 2005. Spillover wont be in effect and India will be back to its annual 7% limit.

- Q1 2011 : EB2-I goes to Dec 2005

>> dates will creep along slowly/

- Q2 2011 : Dec-2005 or 'U'.

>> same story: India quickly exhausts its annual quota, and must now wait for spillover.

- Q3 2011 : EB2-I goes to March/June 2006

>> spillover happens, but unlike earlier there are lots and lots of cases from 2005-end to first half of 2006. So even with spillover the dates are unlikely to go past June 2006.

My DL expring in Sept. filed for 10th year extenison, I live in NY.
NY DL have 2 dates, One in Top with RED Bold letters its called Temp Visa Date and at botton DL exprie date. I have contacted in DMV office. They said I can drive using bottom Exprie date which is exprie in 2010(mine) ,But I cant use the DL as ID if Temp VISA expire on DL.Unless I renew it with approved H1B visa date.So I have to Carry Passport ,recepit copy and Employer lettter with all time just as proof if cop caught me.

There are about 18K CP cases.


Yeah but if the PDs are set as unavailable, what can they do about those cases anyway, as the priority date has to be current on the day of approval in the consulate.
Furthermore, unlike with 485s they can't consular process 18K cases on a Sunday! It is not a centralised process for them to do that.

Few observations based on thread postings
1) Last year around this same time not many RFE/LUD were seen.
2) Most of these cases with RFE/LUD are either EB2 around 2005-2006 or EB3 2003-2004
3) My Lawyer based out of IL confirming RFEs are in high volume and majority of these are Employment verification with Birth verification and Health letter verification as close second.

Now given the gov attitude and the current scenario it does not seem that they would be interested in pre-adjudication. There is something else that is going on. On the same note I am also seeing that people with dates which could possibly be current anytime this year are not seeing any LUD/RFE. If pre-adjudicating is the objective than these cases should have received the RFEs first.

Just my observation. Any input is appreciated.

i think AC21 is a law passed by congress. So no matter how it is but it has to be followed by USCIS.
Now a days USCIS staff doen't have correct knowledge about AC21 so with out understanding they are rejecting.
Initially I got my H1 extension only for 1 year even though my 140 is approved and 485 filed. Then i fought to USCIS and showed the pdf doc from AC21 which states that they have to issues 3yrs extension.
Then they issued for 3yrs.
It is all lack of knowledge abt AC21.

I checked 2007 return and it has only 100K asset. I am not sure we accumulated 350K since then. I think you got confused with revenue vs. cash on hand / asset.

i want my share of 350k, just think i am equal shareholder in this :D just close this sucker down and distribute that 350k between us, that will be really good :cool:

I plan on staying here for 5 more years and then I am going back - GC or no GC ;)

After having lived in the US for 8 yrs, I still find myself craving for all things Indian - food, grocery, music, friends, movies, TV channels etc.

For me GC is just a convenience which will allow me to change jobs and hopefully get to the level that I should have if I had not been stuck because of the H1B.

My kids are US citizens and they are free to come back & study/work/live here when they are old enough to make that decision.

To go back after having managed to get here was a tough decision to make, but the whole retrogression thing has made it easier for me.
